Your Summer Shoe Wardrobe
Bring on the sunshine and pedicures, it’s time for summer shoes! One of my favorite things about warmer weather is the ease of summer footwear. From running kids to camp and vacationing by the beach, to attending BBQs and weddings, these five summer shoe staples (and a fun bonus!) will get you through the season.
The Nude Pump
The little black dress of shoes! Hopefully, the nude pump is already front and center in your wardrobe. Great for year-round wear, nude pumps elongate the leg and play well with just about every color. Take note that nude hues can run from blush to caramel and ideally you want to match your skin tone for the most versatile and flattering look. I prefer a patent leather because it offers a nice sheen and texture.

The Flat Sandal
My personal summer shoe of choice, a good flat sandal lets you run around in comfort and style! For this shoe, I love a muted gold, bronze or silver. Metallics make surprisingly great neutrals, but are still a little unexpected. Flat sandals are perfect for long and short dresses, shorts, skirts, and your favorite skinny jeans. The rubber soles on my current favorite offer added comfort.

Sneaker
God bless the fashion industry, sneakers are a new norm! No longer just for working out, there’s a wide, chic selection of sneakers that pair perfectly with a pair of shorts, jeans, or even a cute skirt. For versatility, I like a snake print or fresh white with a pop of color.

The Wedge
I love a good wedge; the salad and the shoe! A wedge elongates your legs and gives you height without losing stability. These go great with dresses and skirts, and I especially love them with those easy-breezy, palazzo pants! A cork wedge offers shock absorption and the same versatility of a nude color, but in a rich summer texture. You can substitute a raffia or jute material for this too!

Flip Flop
Every year I hear a story about how bad flip flops are for your feet, and yet I keep wearing them! Flip flops are the easiest of shoes to throw and go, and a necessity for summer days at the beach or pool.
