Sweater Weather?
As I write this it’s 93 degrees with a heat index over 100 and my twisted mind is dreaming of cozy sweaters. I can’t help it, years of following the fashion calendar (which is always one or two seasons ahead) has warped my brain! One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to scour the clearance sales for designer sweater deals amongst other winter fashion treasures.
Luckily, the annual Nordstrom Anniversary sale falls precisely around this time to compliment my cool weather delusions. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale features brand new fall and winter merchandise with discounts of up to 40%! It’s a great time to stock up on basics and capture some investment pieces by designers like Vince, Lafayette 148, Nili Lotan, Madewell and many more. If you’ve ever shopped the sale you know there are many thrilling style steals to be coveted, but there are also some real stinkers. That’s where I come in!
Typically, I set appointments with clients to shop the sale in-store and pre-pull the best merchandise before anyone is allowed in. This year, Nordstrom is encouraging virtual appointments whenever possible. I’m excited to offer you my services for FREE this year using the Nordstrom style board app! Yes, I said FREE! Nordstrom style boards are like a shoppable Pinterest boards featuring only Nordstrom merchandise.
Here’s how it works…
ONE
Contact me to let me know you’re interested in the sale and I’ll put you on my list. I plan to create the boards in the order that requests are received. Want your husband or wife to step up their game? I can do that too!
TWO
To take advantage of the pre-sale opportunity, you must have a Nordstrom card and an online account set up on the Nordstrom website. If you don’t have one, I highly recommend it! Most of the best items will be gone by the time the sale opens to the public on August 19th. Card holders can begin shopping at different times based on their status. (See image below.)
THREE
Prepare your fall shopping list and send it to me. I recommend focusing on a few items such as jeans, coats, boots, and higher ticket items to get the most benefit from the sale. They do have some items that are “wear now” if you need some tees, blouses etc. I’ll create a board of my selections curated to your needs and style. Or just let me run wild and I’ll send you my favorite things! Also note, all anniversary merchandise will be available to preview online beginning July 24. You can create a personal wish list and purchase those items upon access to the sale too!
FOUR
On the day you are granted access to the sale (based on your reward tier) I will send you the styles I’ve selected for you. You can review, add to your bag and make the purchase!
